Chuck Staab, manager of All Buildings Inspection LLC, has developed a career repairing homes and small commercial buildings since 1985. From 1985 to 1994, Chuck concentrated primarily on the repair of homes and their components. Many of the problems with homes arise from water and moisture issues. Identifying and correcting factors resulting in water and moisture damage to the buildings is crucial. During this same period, Chuck became qualified for electrical repair work and upgrades on residential and small commercial buildings.
From 1994 to 2005, Chuck expanded into the repair and restoration of all styles of residential homes and small commercial buildings. Continuing education was always part of his career. He has become proficient with electrical systems, construction techniques and code requirements, window and door systems, roofing systems, plumbing systems, heating and cooling systems, and traditional building techniques, such as log building and brick and stone masonry, both pre- and post- portland cement era. During this period, a number of clients sought Chuck's expertise, which was required for developing plans and cost analyses for dilapidated properties they were looking to restore. From this, an interest was developed and pursued in the home inspection industry.
In 2005, Chuck received the proper credentials for a Home Inspector in Wisconsin. In 2007, he received a proper license for a Home Inspector in Illinois. Iowa has no current legislative requirements for general home inspections. Inspection specific education was obtained through American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT) in Waukesha, WI.
